Our Father, Jeremiah 18:6 says "like clay in the hands of the potter so I am in your hand O God." Romans 9:21 also says "you have the right to make me into what you have purpose in your heart for me, a pottery for noble purposes or common use." You said you will have mercy on who you will have mercy and compassion on whom you will have compassion. So now Lord upon hearing your words I repent of thinking that I had any control at all. Please forgive me for not putting you first in every area of my life. I surrender my rights, my will, and my plans. All that I am now: daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, student, worker, and all I ever hope to be. How I turn out does not depend on my desire or effort but only on your mercy and compassion. Thank you for making me aware that only what the potter thinks and desires for me is what really matters in this life. Shape me O God as seemingly best to you so I can walk in my destiny and fulfill my purpose for being. Not my will Lord but thy will be done in me as it is done in heaven. For I am a woman in the hands of the potter, in Jesus name Amen.
